Governor Adams Oshiomole (Edo State)

Adams Oshiomole

Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole was born on April 4, 1953 in Iyamoh, near Auchi in today’s Edo State. He was born into the humble family of Alhaji Aliyu Oshiomhole of blessed memory and Alhaja Aishetu Oshiomhole. After his secondary education, Adams Oshiomhole proceeded to the Ruskin College, Oxford where he majored in economics and industrial relations. He is also an alumnus of the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru.

Governor Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti State)

Kayode Fayemi

Kayode Fayemi, (born February 9, 1965) is the current Governor of Ekiti State and a native of Isan-Ekiti in Oye Local Government of Ekiti State, Nigeria. He attended Christ’s School, Ado Ekiti and received degrees in History, Politics and International Relations from the Universities of Lagos and Ife in Nigeria and his Doctorate in War Studies from the prestigious King’s College, University of London, England, specializing in civil-military relations. His research and policy interests include: Democratisation, Constitutionalism, Security Sector Governance, and Regionalism in the Global Context.

Governor Babatunde Fashola (Lagos State)

Babatunde Fashola

Overwhelmingly re-elected for a second term of four years at the April 26, 2011 Gubernatorial polls, His Excellency, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN) is the recipient of the 2009 Yikzak Rabin Centre for African Development Governor of the Decade for Peace Award and the recipient of the 2010 Award of Excellence in Leadership of the Martin Luther King Jnr. Foundation.

He is the recipient of the 2009 Good Governance Award from the United Kingdom-based African Business Magazine. Here in Nigeria, he is The Guardian, The Vanguard and The Sun newspapers’ Man of The Year for 2009. He is the Daily Champion Man of the Year for 2010. He is also the 2010 Award winner of the City People Magazine Best Governor of the Year and Best Southwest Governor of the Year.

Governor Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun State)

Ibikunle Amosun

Ibikunle Amosun had his primary school education at African Church Primary school, in the city of Abeokuta from 1965 to 1970. He went on to African Church Grammar school, Abeokuta for his Ordinary and Advanced level studies between 1971 and 1977. Immediately after which he proceeded to Ogun State Polytechnic (now Moshood Abiola Polytecnic) and graduated with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in 1983.

Determined to tread the professional path, young Ibikunle Amosun studied hard and attained an Associate membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in 1990. He later became a fellow of the Institute (FCA) in 1996. Ibikunle Amosun is also an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (1998). His quest for academic excellence led Ibikunle Amosun to the University of Westminster in London (UK), where he acquired a Masters of Art (MA) in International Finance (2000). He started his career with Lanre Aremu & Co. (Chartered Accountants) as Audit Trainee in 1984 where he rose to Manager Cadre in 1987. He later went on to work with XtraEdge Consulting as a managing consultant. Presently, Ibikunle Amosun is the Principal partner of Ibikunle Amosun & Co. (Chartered Accountants) since 1990, an accounting firm of repute with head office in Lagos.


Governor Rauf Aregbesola (Osun State)

Engineer Rauf Aregbesola (born 25 May 1957) is a Nigerian politician who ran for governor of Osun State in the 2007 elections. Aregbesola was formerly an activist and was Lagos Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure when he ran for election in April 2007 on the Action Congress platform.







Governor Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo State)

Born to the renowned Ajimobi family of Ibadan on the 16th of December, 1949, Abiola Adeyemi Ajimobi had his elementary education at St. Patrick, Abebi, ICC Primary school, Aperin and later attended Lagelu Grammar School for his secondary education. Whilst in school Abiola was very active in sports, athletics and the school curriculum. He was the table tennis captain, football captain and the games prefect. In the athletics he was the second fastest student manning the 1st leg for relay race and number two in 100 and 200 meters race. As a result of his all rounder image, he was nicknamed ARCHIPELAGO. He completed his secondary school education in flying colours.

He later proceeded to the United States of America where he attended the state University New York, in Buffalo, New York and the Governor’s State University, Park Forest, Illinois.

He graduated with B.Sc (Honors) in Business Administration and Finance. He also obtained his Masters of Science (MBA) degree in Operations Research and Marketing. As a result of his academic credentials and excellent performance at the New York Insurance examinations, he was engaged as the 1st Nigerian state certified underwriter by Equitable Life Assurance Corporation, which was the 2nd largest Insurance Company in America.
