The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) Friday hit back at the Peoples Democratic Party for asking Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos state to resign over the recent flooding in the state, describing the call as a failed attempt to make political capital out of an unfortunate situation.

It’s National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said the government of Lagos State was highly proactive and responsive over the flooding, hence it deserves commendation rather than condemnation.

It said if PDP’s warped logic in calling for Fashola’s resignation were to be extended, then President Goodluck Jonathan should by now have resigned from office over the worsening insecurity in the land, especially from the rampaging Boko Haram; over the devastating kerosene scarcity for which his government has no clue; over the skyrocketing cost of diesel and the ballooning exchange rate for the naira, not to talk of the worsening state of infrastructure.”

It is not all the ranting of PDP execo lagos worth listening to, not to talk of making comment .it shows how shallow they are in intelligence dept

  7. Aanu Ogunro says:

The flooding is as a result of heavy rains to which Fashola has no control. However, Boko Haram’s continued successful insurgence is a result of insecurity and lack of crisis management by the PDP led Federal Govt. Kerosine scarcity, power failure e.t.c are all effects of insensitive and purposeless PDP led FG. Who should resign? Res ipsa loquitor
